When temperatures rise, rhinos roll around in the mud… At Beauval, we’ve thought of everything to ensure your visit remains pleasant and refreshing – without you having to go to such lengths!
Shaded paths and covered walkways
The park’s lush vegetation provides plenty of natural shade. Come and cool off in our shaded paths, beneath our tall trees or our exotic plants with their huge leaves. All the footbridges are also covered for maximum comfort, even at the hottest time of day. It’s such a pleasure to admire the animals whilst staying in the shade and enjoying a gentle breeze!

Mist sprayers for a refreshing break
Cool off under the water misters! The mist feels absolutely brilliant – do feel free to take some invigorating breaks. An immediate sensation of coolness awaits you. Positioned at strategic points throughout the ZooParc, the misters operate almost continuously. You’ll find them:
- at the two stations of the Le Nuage de Beauval cable car (Lions and Elephants)
- near the giant pandas, cheetahs and bongos
- near the Orangutan and Chimpanzee Greenhouses
Les Roches Vives: a refreshing break for the whole family
Fancy taking a break whilst letting the children have some fun? Head to Les Roches Vives, a vast water play area located at Bucolia Farm. From April to the end of September, young explorers can enjoy nearly 1,000 m² dedicated to water and adventure. Water jets, cooling mist, a little river, waterfalls and quirky obstacles invite visitors to cool off whilst having fun. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy a relaxing break in a pleasant… and cool! natural setting.
Practical tip: lockers are available free of charge on site. And if you haven’t brought a change of clothes, don’t worry: a drying booth is available (additional charge) so you can continue your visit in comfort!
Take a delicious and refreshing break at our dining venues
For your lunch or afternoon snack, make yourself comfortable in one of our 24 dining areas, all designed with your well-being in mind. Inside, enjoy the cool air of our air-conditioned spaces; outside, relax on our shaded terraces. Local cuisine at Canard Toqué or traditional fare at the Tropical self-service restaurant, burgers at Kilimandjaro, pizzas and empanadas at Flamingo, and snacks (hot dogs, sandwiches, etc.). There’s something to suit every taste and every craving. Chilled drinks are available throughout the park. Find opening times and practical information on our website or via the ZooParc mobile app.
Protect yourself from the sun with items from our shops
And of course, we cannot stress enough how important it is to stay hydrated throughout the day, to top up your water bottles, to apply sun cream regularly, and to wear sunglasses, sun hats, caps or hats. If, however, you’ve forgotten these essential items in this hot weather, pop into one of our four shops at ZooParc. You’re sure to find what you’re looking for. And the best bit: they’re air-conditioned!
