Quand le bébé panda sera-t-il visible du public ?
Le petit va rester 2 à 3 mois auprès de sa maman. Durant cette période, il sera visible sur des écrans géants dans le ZooParc grâce à des caméras de vidéosurveillance. Il sera ensuite placé dans la loge intérieure où il sera visible du public.
Le bébé panda appartient-il à la France ?
Non. Tous les pandas géants appartiennent à la Chine dont ils sont originaires. Même pour les pandas nés hors du territoire chinois. Le petit restera 2 à 3 ans au ZooParc de Beauval avec sa maman, comme cela se passerait dans la nature, avant de partir pour la Chine. La majorité des 750 bébés nés à Beauval chaque année partent également vers d’autres parcs zoologiques dans le monde !
Huan Huan et Yuan Zi vont-ils eux aussi repartir pour la Chine ?
Arrivés au ZooParc de Beauval en 2012, nos deux pandas sont les ambassadeurs de leur espèce en France et restent normalement 10 ans. Ils devraient donc regagner la Chine en 2022. A moins que leur période sur le sol français ne soit prolongée…
Comment s’appellera le bébé panda ?
Il est de coutume que le prénom du bébé panda soit choisi par la Chine. La première dame du pays qui héberge les pandas en est souvent la marraine. Pour le moment, rien de confirmé de ce côté-là… En attendant que le petit soit nommé, nous l’avons surnommé “mini Yuan Zi”.

When will the baby panda be visible to the visitors?
The baby will stay 2 to 3 months by its mum. During this period, it will be visible on giant screens inside the ZooParc thanks to video surveillance cameras. It will then be placed in its inside box where it will be visible for the visitors.
Does the baby panda belong to France?
No. All giant pandas belong to China where they are originally from. Even for the pandas born outside of the Chinese territory. The baby will stay 2 to 3 years at the ZooParc de Beauval with its mum, like it could happen within nature, before leaving for China. The majority of the 750 babies born at Beauval every year also leave to other zoological parks in the world!
