A mystery birth on the way at the ZooParc de Beauval: it’s up to you to guess!
Around 900 births take place each year at ZooParc de Beauval. Some go largely unnoticed, whilst others cause quite a stir. For example, the 16 milk frogs, the 6 Asian rat snakes and the 3 crowned roll-rolls born in July 2026 fall into the first category. Conversely, in recent months, the births of Indian rhinos, the female elephants Himba and Rosie, and the golden monkeys have made a lasting impression. These events are all the more remarkable as they involve iconic species whose births are rare.
A baby in a few weeks’ time – but of which species?
A new resident is set to arrive at ZooParc de Beauval shortly. A recent ultrasound scan of the expectant mother has enabled the teams to find out more about the baby on the way. The female is doing very well and her pregnancy is being closely monitored.
Can you guess which species it is? To give you a clue, we’ve revealed a few hints in a video… Feel free to share your guesses in the comments on our social media.
Tune in this Friday, 21 August, to find out which species is behind this upcoming birth.
